Mike Volpe Joins Attend’s Board of Directors

BOSTON, Jan. 26, 2016 – Attend, Inc. today announced that Mike Volpe, former CMO of HubSpot, has been elected to Attend's board of directors. Volpe has been called the “third founder” of HubSpot, where as CMO he helped the company grow to over 15,000 customers, 1,000 employees, $150M in revenue, and an IPO leading to a $2 billion market cap.

“Mike is a pioneer in the marketing technology industry and we are excited to welcome him to Attend’s board of directors,” said Matt Engel, CEO at Attend. “We believe his strong experience, especially in building a marketing technology company to a successful IPO, will be extremely valuable as Attend continues it’s rapid growth.”

“Attend is innovating in a part of the marketing stack that has been very much overlooked and I’m honored to be joining their board,” said Volpe. “I have personal experience with events and their ability to drive revenue. Attend’s approach is going to revolutionize how businesses incorporate events into their marketing and sales strategy.”

Volpe has worked in technology marketing for nearly two decades, and holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA, summa cum laude, from Bowdoin College. He is an active angel investor and advisor to numerous startups, and is on the board of directors at Repsly, which offers mobile CRM software for merchandising, service and other field teams.
